As we’ve spoken about before on this blog, there are loads of different ideas for a great bachelorette party depending on who you are. However, there are a few essential things you need to think about when you’re picking your party. These are the main elements that could make or break your special night.
So, staying with that thought here’s the ultimate checklist of things you need to consider when you’re planning your hen night:
Transport
Regardless of what you’re doing, you need to get transport sorted. Naturally, you could all just come in your own cars, but I think that’s a bit unnecessary. It makes more sense to get everyone all in one vehicle and have someone drive you to the venue. This way, no one has to feel responsible for driving, and you can all have fun on your way, which gets everyone excited.
Personally, I’d avoid public transport as you often get a lot of looks from people and there’s always that one group of ‘lads’ that tries to get involved. Instead, think about booking a large taxi/minivan, or going all out and thinking about limo hire or party bus rentals. If you want a great start to the party, either of the two last ideas will ensure everyone gets nice and hyped, and you’re all ready for a brilliant party.
Outfits
First and foremost, you need to decide if you’re dressing up normally or in costumes. A lot of the time, fancy dress is the way forward as it adds a new element to your party. So, if you do decide to do this, ensure everyone knows the theme and has the right costumes!
If not, make sure your outfits are coordinated, so no one is wearing the same clothes as someone else. Of course, you need your bachelorette sash and tiara for the bride to be! You want everyone to know you’re getting married soon.
Venue
It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, you need to decide on a venue before the party starts. This is mainly because you want to ensure you can actually get into somewhere beforehand. There’s nothing worse that turning up at a venue and being told you either have to wait or that you can’t come in as there are no tables booked or not enough room, etc.
Make sure you book a venue beforehand, whether it’s a club, restaurant, spa – whatever. Just make sure you’re guaranteed to have a place reserved for you, so you can just turn up and walk on in with no fuss at all.
Photos
Finally, you can’t plan a bachelorette party without thinking about photos. Ideally, everyone will have their phones with them to take plenty of pics. But, you also might want to think about hiring a professional photographer or pitching your money together for a fancy camera.
This just ensures you get some high-quality snaps and can preserve the memories forever with perfect pics!
Make sure you think about these four things when you’re planning your party. If you do, everything should run smoothly, and you’ll have a hell of a time.
